Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG I wish more studios attempted on phones. It's turn-based, party-driven, and every companion you recruit reacts to your choices. Skip a village in trouble and you'll hear about it later around the campfire. The whole thing downloads once and never asks for the internet again.

Combat is where it shines. You position four heroes on a grid, chain elemental attacks, and exploit enemy weaknesses. There's a proper learning curve — the first boss wiped my party twice before I figured out how to stagger it. The story kept pulling me forward between fights, which is rare for a mobile RPG.

It's a big game for a phone, so give it storage room. But once it's installed you've got dozens of hours that work on a plane, and the save system is generous with checkpoints.
